Remainder Gift (Residuary Bequest):

Designating Your Gift to a Specific Program or Species
If you would like to designate your gift to a specific aspect of our work, please make your request as broad as possible (for example, "elephant conservation") so that we will have the flexibility to honor your request far into the future. We also ask that you include language that gives AWF the discretion to allocate your gift to a similar need, if unforeseen circumstances make it impossible to meet your original request. For example,
"This gift shall be used for (state purpose) if and for so long as the African Wildlife Foundation determines that the need exists. If the need no longer exists, or if it is not possible (or prudent) for the bequest to be used as originally intended, AWF may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above."
